What to expect
when working with us…
Communication is key. That is why we have put together a list below to walk you through the process of working with the Dakine Remodel Team before you even start! Rest assured that our experienced staff will be with you each step of the way.
We follow these steps
Send us 4-8 pictures of each side of your house to help us visualize the size and scope of the project. We will schedule a phone call to discuss your project, including surfaces to be painted, color choices, and any necessary carpentry replacements. We will send a preliminary estimate based on the provided information.
**By approving the preliminary estimate, the client agrees to pay a 3% non-refundable deposit of the project’s total cost.
We will schedule an on-site visit to inspect and assess any special considerations, such as if pressure washing is required, determine any necessary carpentry replacements, and finalize material choices and paint colors. Afterwards, we will provide a final estimate and a 3% deposit will be collected.
In this phase the work begins. The project manager will purchase the materials, schedule the work, and update you on the progress every step of the way.
We will pressure wash all surfaces that need to be painted.
Any chipping paint will first be scraped, all cracked caulk seams will be caulked, and any exposed wood will be caulked or primed for high paint adhesion.
All windows, fixtures, doors, masonry, and patios will be prepped for paint. We also drop cloth shingles in the case of multi-level homes.
Now paint can be applied! The paint package you have chosen will determine the exact painting process including product, number of coats, and rolled versus sprayed. As a rule, we always hand paint fascia.
Ready to discuss your project? Feel like we might be a great fit? We would love to hear about it!
